Time Travel Tuesday: Toto

I know what you're all thinking. "Liz, aren't you only 25? Isn't Toto a little old school for someone your age?" NO! Everyone can love Toto! Never deny someone access to awesome music because they're young! My kids hear all kinds of great music from back in the day, including Toto.

I have fond memories of hitting the road on 12 hour drives from my childhood home in Biloxi, Mississippi to visit my grandparents in North Carolina. My parents always broke out the Toto tape for long drives, along with Jefferson Starship and Meatloaf. I won't fault them for the Jefferson Starship.

Toto had some really great songs! Stuff that pulled at your heart, and still does! Here's a few songs that I really like.



Rosanna - Rumored to be about one of the band member's ex, Rosanna Arquette. It wasn't.



Hold The Line - That is an epic guitar riff/keyboard combination! And it's true, love isn't always on time.



Africa - The harmonies in the chorus STILL give me goosebumps!
