Time Travel Tuesday...Snick!

Time Travel Tuesday is a FABULOUS idea I got from Points of Claire-ification. This week she wrote a great post about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles this week that got the wheels turning on this post. Thanks Claire!

So who remembers Snick? Saturdays on Nickelodeon were THE PLACE for the best TV shows. There were some really great ones...

Every girl should remember the standby Clarissa Explains it All.

Best. Show. EVER! Snick was full of reasonable role models for young girls. Check out The Secret World of Alex Mack.

Ah, those were the days. There was stuff for the boys too. Remember Salute Your Shorts?

They don't make theme songs that awesome anymore. And we can't forget the best scary show EVER made for kids...Are You Afraid of the Dark? MUAHAHAHAHAHA!

Things were so much better when these shows filled Nickelodeon programming. I'd give a kidney in exchange for a Snick reunion. I wish there were these kinds of shows on now so my kids could have quality, family-friendly entertainment. The kids from those shows may be all grown up now, but if they could convince Melissa Joan Hart and Larissa Oleynik to come reprise their roles on these shows JUST ONCE, I would DEFINITELY be there.

And PLEASE ask Joseph Gordon-Levitt's shmexy self to be Tommy from Third Rock from the Sun just ONE MORE TIME?!?!?!

Side note about hottie Joseph Gordon-Levitt...how HOT was he in Inception? Running around in suits with guns and kicking a$$ with no gravity....
Mmmm....

Sorry for the tangent! I lose my train of thought at the mention of Mr. Gordon-Levitt. Anyway, hope the nostalgia gave you the warm-fuzzies it gave me while writing this.

SNICK FOREVER!
